Mathematics is one of

the four ( Mathematics ,

Computer Sciences ,

Operational Research

and Statistics )

Departments under the

Faculty of Mathematical

Sciences of the

University of Delhi. We

have twenty four faculty

members and they

specialize in various

areas of algebra,

analysis and applied

mathematics. We offer

M.A./M.Sc. program as well as M.Phil./Ph.D

program in Mathematics.

The department is currently supported by University

Grants Commission (UGC) by their SAP-DSA

(Special Assistance Programme - Department of

Special Assistance)" programme. Earlier it was

supported by UGC's SAP-DRS (Departmental

Research Support) programme. The department

was ranked 151-200 in QS World University

Rankings 2012 .

The Department is located in the Faculty of

Mathematical Sciences Building. The Faculty is

surrounded by the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of

Social Sciences and the Faculty of Law. The main

entry to the building is on the opposite side of

Daulat Ram College.
